Work has already started on the multi-million pound construction of a fantastic new building which will be the main campus at Old Mill Lane. This will provide the area with a state-of-the-art learning environment we can all be proud of. buildings. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design
and has become the de facto measure used to describe a building's
environmental performance. Barnsley College and Miller Construction have adopted the medhodology in the Old Mill Lane Newbuild.

inspectors and the launch of a new visual identity, Barnsley College
Principal, Colin Booth was delighted to reveal provisional plans for a
new building for Barnsley Sixth Form College.

Barnsley College this week took delivery of the tower crane which
signals the beginning of the next phase of their multi-million pound
new build complex. The crane was delivered and erected over the
weekend and dominates the town’s skyline as the project moves towards
its 2011 completion date. More.
Kevin Brennan, Minister for Further Education, Skills, Apprenticeships and Consumer Affairs visited Barnsley College to celebrate the beginning of the construction work which will transform the iconic pile of rubble, where the main Barnsley campus once stood, into an inspirational 21st century building.

With just under a year left until moving in day, the inside of the new build is starting to take shape.
Barnsley College will hold its Graduation ceremony on Friday 1st October 2010 at 12.00pm at Barnsley Town Hall.
Barnsley College and Fosters Bakery formalised their working relations
with an official partnership signing event on Tuesday 14th September.
Barnsley College were delighted to find out that they had made it
through to the regional final of the National Training Awards. Following
a visit from the judges, the College has now progressed on to the
regional final where the winners will be announced in September.
