Barnsley College has lots of courses available and these can be practical, academic or work focused. Everyone is interviewed before being accepted on a course to ensure it is the right course for them, their skills, abilities and future goals.
Barnsley is amongst the first areas in the country to have the choice to take up the Government’s new flagship qualification – The Diploma. Whether you’ve got a career in mind, hope to go to university or just want to see what’s out there, the Diploma is the perfect way to explore your options. It’s a new qualification for 14 - 19 year olds and offers a mix of classroom learning and hands-on experience - all designed to prepare you for wherever you want to go in life.

Information Adviser support is available for all school pupils. The Information Team are available to provide up to date information on all courses to people of all ages, based at the Old Mill Lane site they offer a drop-in service to all.

Barnsley College will hold its Graduation ceremony on Friday 1st October 2010 at 12.00pm at Barnsley Town Hall.
Barnsley College and Fosters Bakery formalised their working relations
with an official partnership signing event on Tuesday 14th September.
Barnsley College were delighted to find out that they had made it
through to the regional final of the National Training Awards. Following
a visit from the judges, the College has now progressed on to the
regional final where the winners will be announced in September.
