Graduation 2009



Over sixty students, VIPS, musicians and staff took to the streets of Barnsley in caps and gowns to celebrate the graduation of Business and Management learners.

 

A brass band led the procession as the Worshipful Mayor and Mayoress of Barnsley, platform party and learners marched the route from Eastgate Sixth Form College to the Town Hall, where a formal Graduation ceremony took place. Claire Gould, Managing Editor of MSN Australia and former Barnsley College student gave the keynote speech focussing on the new opportunities that lie ahead for graduates. Principal Colin Booth, congratulated the learners and told them they should be proud of themselves and urged them to ‘Carpe diem’ seize the day!
