BARNSLEY COLLEGE GRADUATION CEREMONY![]() Barnsley College will hold its Graduation ceremony on Friday 1st October 2010 at 12.00pm at Barnsley Town Hall. A procession of academic staff and 40 students will take place between the Barnsley Sixth Form College on Eastgate and Barnsley Town Hall prior to the ceremony, led by the Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, The Worshipful, The Mayor of Barnsley and the Consort, Barnsley College Chair of Governors Frank Johnston and Deputy Principal Phil Cook, along with other College and local authority representatives. Due to the procession, Eastgate, Church Street, Sadler Gate and St Mary’s Gate will be closed for a short time at 11.45pm whilst the procession leaves Barnsley Sixth Form College and enters the Town Hall. The ceremony will see the presentation of certificates to students successfully achieving higher level qualifications in Business and Management. The key note speech will be given by President of JCI Barnsley, Gemma Fletcher. The event will celebrate the success of Barnsley College students and recognise their achievements for both themselves and the town.
