JCI Barnsley Members get under the hood
Members JCI Barnsley, part of the Junior Chamber International recently took part in the first in a series of training initiatives run in association with Barnsley College . The session focussed on car maintenance and provided the group of mainly females (and one token male!) with the opportunity to learn about basic car maintenance.
The training demonstrated how simple tasks carried out each week can help to maintain your car and prevent damage and breakdowns which can cost hundreds of pounds to repair. The tutor for the course was understandably a little nervous when the first question raised was, ‘How do you open the bonnet?’ Everyone who attended the session learnt some valuable skills and can now look forward to the next on the series of training initiatives. The JCI is a networking, personal development and leadership organisation with over 250 000 members in 100 different countries all over the world. The Barnsley JCI is one of 35 local chambers throughout the UK that come together to form JCI UK. The aim of the JCI is to develop the skills of each of their members to help them to reach their true potential and training initiatives such as this are part of that development. The College is pleased to be able to support the JCI and help their members to creative a positive change, both in themselves and the community. ![]() Article OptionsYour Favorite ArticlesYou Recently Viewed...LATEST NEWS & EVENTS
